2012考研英語(yǔ)閱讀應(yīng)注意三個(gè)關(guān)鍵問(wèn)題
一、透徹理解原文句子閱讀每個(gè)題都能從文章中找到直接或間接的線索,可以定位于原文相關(guān)句子。干擾選項(xiàng)往往是對(duì)原文句子意思有偏差,因此建議2012年考生們?cè)谧鲩喿x題時(shí),一定要理解好文章內(nèi)容,洞察偏差,才能將干擾項(xiàng)排除。例如,Under David Kessler, who ran the FDA in the 1990s, the agency took much criticism for being too slow and too cautious in the way it approved new drugs, adding costs to the system and denying patients potentially life-saving medicines.(九十年代,在戴維?凱斯勒的掌管下,美國(guó)食品及藥物管理局在批準(zhǔn)一種新藥上市時(shí)進(jìn)度過(guò)慢且過(guò)于謹(jǐn)慎,這既增加了評(píng)估系統(tǒng)的成本,又使病人失去了使用可能會(huì)救命的藥物的機(jī)會(huì),為此,它受到了猛烈抨擊。)該句選自一篇關(guān)于美國(guó)食品藥品管理局所面臨的種種批評(píng)的文章,其中就有一題是針對(duì)該句話來(lái)出題:FDA is criticized for making patients lose the opportunities to be saved. 文中講到FDA被批評(píng)批準(zhǔn)藥物效率慢,結(jié)果使得評(píng)估成本增加,也可能使病人不能及時(shí)用藥,是在說(shuō)FDA在體制上效率低,而不是說(shuō)FDA被批評(píng)使病人失去用藥機(jī)會(huì)。所以該選項(xiàng)與原文句子意思上有偏差,屬于干擾項(xiàng)。
二、把握句子間邏輯關(guān)系
考研閱讀,對(duì)于學(xué)生邏輯判斷和推理能力的要求是非常明顯的,因此句子間邏輯關(guān)系的把握會(huì)直接影響文章的理解。閱讀中一般出現(xiàn)的邏輯關(guān)系有:因果關(guān)系、遞進(jìn)關(guān)系、修飾-解釋關(guān)系、復(fù)指關(guān)系、對(duì)比關(guān)系,轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系。因此,在閱讀文章過(guò)程中,一定要留意句子間的邏輯關(guān)系。例如,In the immediate future, Stanley believes that one solution would be to make artificial floods to flush out the delta waterways, in the same way that natural floods did before the construction of the dams. He says, however, that in the long term an alternative process such as desalination may have to be used to increase the amount of water available.句中出現(xiàn)了表示遞進(jìn)的邏輯關(guān)系詞in the immediate future … in the longer term …;還出現(xiàn)了表示轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系的關(guān)聯(lián)詞however。
三、抓文章主題
英語(yǔ)考研閱讀選材,文章內(nèi)容都會(huì)圍繞一個(gè)中心話題展開(kāi),抓好核心思想,可以幫助解題。例如,Over the past century, all kinds of unfairness and discrimination have been condemned or made illegal. But one insidious form continues to thrive: alphabetism. This, for those as yet unaware of such a disadvantage, refers to discrimination against those whose surnames begin with a letter in the lower half of the alphabet.中間雖然有邏輯詞but,但是我們可以看出,該段的主題為現(xiàn)在存在著不為大家所重視的字母歧視的問(wèn)題。
